As the Saturday morning coffee shop at Abbots Langley Methodist Church was always very popular with the locals, members of the congregation decided to extend it to offer a Sunday roast dinner too. 

Now around 40 people come along every Sunday and enjoy the companionship and camaraderie of eating together. 

“We wanted to do something for the village, and we love cooking, so it was the natural thing to do.” 

“There is nothing worse than eating on your own, especially on a Sunday. This gives older people who are perhaps on their own the companionship they deserve.” Rosemary Rhodes, member of the congregation.
